About Us
With the House of AWT, LGBTQIA+ young people of color ages 18 – 30, work side-by-side with professional artists to gain free studio art training in various urban art forms including dance, audio/video production, fashion, music production, and street art.
The House of AWT will host free family-centered art classes taught by professional artists to introduce children to different art forms.
Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, we have shifted to an Artist Development model which enables us to safely work one on one and in smaller virtual groups with artists in our community, continually supporting AWT during this time.

At-risk LGBTQIA+ young people of color who engage in creative arts programs outside of traditional institutions are often in danger of losing their artistic outlets within safe spaces. There is a scarcity and need for non-traditional arts programming amongst young artists.
Artistic REACH LA alumni, along with a new collective of artists,
led by Sean/Milan™and Carla Gordon seek
to build an art-specific community, with programming to support talented young LGBTQ artists of color and their allies, called The House of AWT (pronounced Awwwt).
